At Premier Dental Consulting, technology implementation is about more than turning on new software.
A dental practice can purchase the best technology available and still struggle if the team does not understand how it fits into their daily workflow, why it matters, or how to use it consistently.
Cindy Hartwell helps dental practices bridge the gap between purchasing technology and actually getting value from it.
With more than 30 years of experience spanning clinical dentistry, front-office operations, office management, dental insurance, enterprise training, provider relations, and practice consulting, Cindy understands how technology affects the entire dental office.
Dentists, hygienists, assistants, front-office teams, managers, and practice owners often look at new technology very differently.
Successful implementation means understanding what each group needs, identifying workflow barriers, building trust, and showing team members how the technology makes their work more effective.
Cindy works with practices to turn new technology from something the team is simply expected to use into something that becomes part of the practice's everyday workflow.
Premier Dental Consulting can assist practices with:
Installing software or completing initial training is only the beginning.
Cindy works with dental teams to understand:
What is working?
What is not being used?
Where is the team getting stuck?
Is the technology improving the workflow or creating another step?
Does each team member understand how the product benefits their role?
When adoption is low, the answer is rarely just “more training.”
Sometimes the workflow needs to change. Sometimes the training needs to change. And sometimes the team first needs to understand why the change is worth making.
That is where Cindy's experience in both adult learning and dental practice operations becomes especially valuable.
Before becoming a consultant, Cindy spent years as an Enterprise Trainer, frequently learning new systems, products, and processes before broader implementation.
She developed training materials, job aids, and educational programs and trained employees, leaders, and fellow trainers through major organizational and technology changes.
Today, she brings that same approach into dental practices.
Training is customized around the practice's existing workflow, team experience, patient population, and operational goals rather than relying solely on generic vendor training.
Resistance to change is normal in dental practices-especially when experienced team members already have a system that works for them.
Cindy's approach begins with understanding the current workflow and listening to the people who use it every day.
Instead of simply telling a team to change, she helps them understand:
Building credibility and trust first often makes the difference between a technology rollout that is merely completed and one that is actually adopted.
Cindy's career has taken her through nearly every side of dentistry.
She began clinically as a Registered Dental Assistant, progressed into front-office operations and office management, spent 16 years with a major dental benefits organization in claims, auditing, training, provider relations, and network development, and later served as a Dental Benefits Analyst for the California Dental Association.
Today, she works directly with dental practices and multi-location organizations on technology implementation, operational improvement, team development, insurance strategy, workflow optimization, and practice performance.
That broad perspective allows her to communicate effectively with everyone from the dental assistant learning a new workflow to the doctor or owner evaluating whether a technology investment is delivering meaningful value.
Premier Dental Consulting helps practices move beyond simply purchasing technology to successfully implementing, adopting, and optimizing it.
Whether your practice is introducing a new system, struggling with adoption of an existing product, or trying to create more consistent workflows across multiple locations, we can help identify what is getting in the way and develop a practical path forward.
